Fern and Michael were married on Kauai in 1978. They have 2 sons who were raised on the Island.
Fern has been a Licensed Massage therapist for the past twenty years and has practiced & taught massage extensively. Michael's practice includes Aikido, as well as ocean sports, integrating mind and body posture. In 1988, Fern and Michael started Island Weddings and Blessings. In the last 12 years, they have participated in arranging and performing over 1,000 weddings for couples from all over the world. In addition to conventional weddings, they offer special blessing rituals and empowerments.
